  Hungary Before WW2
The Hungarian government again arrested Ferenc Szalasi and 72 other leaders of the Hungarian National Socialist Party. A court sent Szalasi to prison and the Hungarian government took drastic steps to stamp out the Fascist-National Socialist movement. The German annexation of Austria in March, however, made Germany a neighbor and the 500,000 German minority in Hungary became increasingly restless. This ended any plans for a Hapsburg restoration and the expansion of the Little Entente to include Austria and Hungary.
