Events occurring on Monday, December 6, 1943  
  Strategic Conferences  
  The Second Conference of Cairo, codenamed Sextant ended. Attending were U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Turkish President İsmet İnonu. The meeting addressed Turkey's possible contribution to the Allies.  
   
  The Eastern Front  
  The Red Army continued to advance in the Ukraine and  liberated Znamenka, cutting the rail line to Smela.  
   
  The Allied Campaign for Italy  
  The British 10th Corps captured Monte Camino.  
   
  The British 8th Army reached the Moro River.
